Wow. So, here we go. I think this will be a much improved blog, over the crazy one we had earlier. Which I think maybe 2 people read. And me. I read it, sometimes.
SO! you ask, “What’s been going on with SBFP lately? I haven’t heard much.” Well! That’s because it’s a secret! Or because I’m too lazy to tell you!
Not anymore!
We’ve been working on it. The big thing is work. Steve recently got an awesome job at REI, it’s great! Only thing is it’s hard to work around for SBFP. Seriously.
Oh, and now he’s in Japan for a week or two.
So yeah… that’s slowed it a bit, along with everyone else working on and off as well. Speaking of which, I should probably jump on the ball soon.
Anyway, we filmed a bit last Saturday, which went fairly well! Ian (well, me) just finished filming for a short online contest, and I just finished a full day of shooting (I mean full, like, 3 minutes, literally, after waking up, I had a camera in my hand) I ran out to film for SBFP. And it was late. Too late. It was getting dark.
Which wouldn’t have been an issue, the quality was fine, but it’s supposed to be intercut with a scene happening simultaneously inside, which is obviously middle of the day-ish.
Meaning that we may have to refilm a bit of that exterior stuff, but that shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes.
Again, the hard part is getting everyone there in the first place. Yeah. It is. The hard part. The H-P. Eigch Doubleyou.
But since then, I’ve been editing pretty hard. Again, it’s hard footage, and too dark. So I’m gonna have to see if most of it is even workable, though we got a lot of good stuff.
We filmed a hard scene, an eating scene, in which, from both angles, you can see everything. And no cutaway shots. And from the two different angles, everyone generally has their eating utensile at the inverse of where it is in the other. And we didn’t get any cutaway shots. Which is sad. Because it makes the edit hard. But I think it’ll all work out and be smooth. And fun.
If we’re lucky.
